The Refuge is a 501(c)3 entity.

There are a number of ways you can financially support the Refuge. In addition to donations or pledges of money, there are other ways to help. The Refuge Foundation has been established to be able to accept items such as property, securities or investments. Large or small, bequests are an important part of the Refuge growth.

The Refuge seeks to create an endowment which can provide significant funding of our current programs. Gifts of property, real estate, life insurance, annuities and securities are needed for this purpose.

To determine the possible tax exemption and value of your donated gifts, read IRS publication 561 and contact your financial advisor.

However you choose to give, you can be sure that your gift will be properly managed and that your personal privacy will be protected. In fact, your rights as a donor are very important to us.

Information sessions are held every Tuesday at 10 am at headquarters at 75 North Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601. This two hour overview will explain the Refuge in further detail After this session you'll have an opportunity to speak with staff. Pre-registration is not required.
